The Outsiders by S.E Hinton question 3

May 10, 2010

She wrote her book by using an outline. Sometimes she thought in terms of movies and wrote scenes out of order, as they occurred to her, and stitched them together later. Two pages a day with no revision is another way she wrote. Another she wrote as a short story, did the novel, then threw it away because it was too easy, and wrote it again.(Wiki.answers.com)

The Otsiders by S.E Hinton question 2

May 10, 2010

There were many reasons why S.E Hinton wrote about The Outsiders. She wrote it because she was inspired by two gangs in her school, and she wrote the book to help herself deal with her father’s condition. Finally she wrote it because it took out her anger by writing  when one of her friends is being beaten up by the gangs in her school just because they didn’t like the way she didn’t combed her hair. The Outsiders by S.E Hinton Questin 1

The Outsiders was banned from published school after it was finish because it has many violence scenes in the story. There were gangs in the story. There guns killing people, gangs fighting. They used bad languages that were not allowed in schools. Many things they did were not appropriate like at the beginning when Ponyboy was hit by the Socs. Another time when they were at the theatre and Dally was using bad languages against Cherry.

blog 11 The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo

January 18, 2011

Describe a subplot and explain how it related to the bigger plot in the story.  Remember to highlight your statement, proper nouns or numbers, and conclusion.

   - There's a subplot that related to the bigger plot in my story. The subplot is everybody hate Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame. Only one person, La Esmerelda, the gypsy girl like him. It relates to the story because she live with him in the tower. I feel like the relationship relates big part in the story I'm reading.

He also lived in a very big castle. He only been to school for seven years. The similarities between me and Harry is he loves to perform magic. He had lived in a harsh life, because he doesn't have any electricity in the castle. I predict many good things will happen to him.

If you could create a symbol for the main character in your IRB, what would it be and why?  Be sure to include specific examples from your book to support your choice. (Make the statement, proper nouns or numbers, and conclusion a different color.)

There's a symbol I created for the main character in my IRB. The symbol was the Invisibily Cloak. Harry seems to use it a lot in my story. When he wants to traveled around somewhere, he needs it alot. He used a lot because the Death Eaters are hunting for him. He doesn't want show his face in the public because he's afraid that they're going to kill him. If he wants to show himself in the public, he'd to put it on . I conclude that Harry will survive in the end and kill Voldemort with his Invisible Cloak.
