Cracker's motivations is to find booby traps in the Vietnam War. Since Cracker can's stay with his owner Willie, he had to give Cracker away to Rick. Rick is the Major in the army. Rick told Willie that if Cracker can's find any booby traps, Cracker is going to in Vietnam forever. Rick said that because Cracker bit him a lot. At the end, Cracker found the most booby traps.
